Accountants today are globally sought after. A survey conducted by the New Straits Times in February 2007 revealed that by the year 2020, it is estimated that there will be a shortage of 16,000 qualified accountants in Malaysia. Thus, there are excellent employment prospects for accountants.
An accountant's job scope can generally be divided into financial accounting and management accounting.

Specializations
Financial accounting is concerned with analyzing and preparing financial statements (eg balance sheets) that record a company's financial information for use by external parties such as shareholders, bankers and governments.
Management accounting uses the principles of accounting and financial management to provide the management with information for the purposes of planning, decision-making and control.
Besides financial accounting and management accounting, other areas of specialization include include audit, taxation, cost accountancy, corporate finance, etc.

Academic and other requirements
You should have a degree in accountancy from an approved university and / or a professional qualification from an accredited professional accounting association (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA). You will also have to register with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) to practise locally.

Personal skills and attributes
Are you critical and analytical? Can you work independently as well as in a team? Do you have good time management skills? Are you able to meet deadlines?

Employers
Fresh graduates usually start off in a local or international audit and according firm.

ADVERTISING EXECUTIVE
An advertising professional combines both creativity and good business sense to produce workable marketing campaigns for products.
To ensure an ad campaign works smoothly (and you also to be prepared for when it doesn’t work out), advertising executives have to juggle between analyzing a variety of demographic research and creativity brainstorming and blockbusting. Be prepared to work in a team as you will generally work on projects in teams.
Realistically, you might end up spending most of your times in the office instead of meeting with clients and pitching campaigns.

Specializations
Usually there are no specializations in this line of work, but executives are required to know a lot about their clients’ brands and marketing strategies.

Academic and other requirements
The requirements differ based on the organization that you plan to work for. However, you will generally require a degree in mass communications, language, design, psychology, or in any medium of expression.

Personal skills and attributes
Can you work with people as well as independently? Can you be creative as well as detailed? Be advised that there is very little room for failure in this profession. However, a majority of advertising executives enjoy this line of work. Their motivation? The creative environment, the challenge of having to constantly 'reinvent' themselves to meet the needs of their clients, and the financial benefits.

Employers
You will work in an advertising agency, usually in teams and co-ordinate with the creative and media departments.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Physiotherapists play an important role in assessing, treating and preventing disorders in human movement caused by injury and disease.
Your job is to help patients with injuries to regain or improve the use of their limbs. You will interview patients to understand their medical history, and carry out physical examinations to diagnose and devise suitable treatment plans for each patient. Treatment involves exercise and movement, using manual and mechanical techniques such as therapeutic movement and exercise therapy, massage, manipulation, electrotherapy and hydrotherapy. All these techniques are used to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore functionality and prevent disability.

Specializations
You can specialize in areas such as musculoskeletal physiotherapy, woman’s health, sports medicine or spinal injuries, as well as education and research.

Academic and other requirements
You need a diploma or degree in physiotherapy. Experience as a nurse aide and knowledge of biomedical sciences such as anatomy, pathology and physiology would be useful. Postgraduate science qualifications would be advantageous.

Personal skills and attributes
Are you observant? Are you skilful with your hands?

Employers
You can work as part of a healthcare team in hospitals and healthcare organizations, independently in private practice, or as consultant to diverse clients like schools and sports teams.

LAWYER Also Advocate/ Solicitor

You draft documents and conduct negotiations on legal letters, and may represent clients in court and tribunal proceedings. In some places, but not in Malaysia, lawyers are described as solicitors, barristers or advocates according to the work they do.
Your duties involve giving legal advice, researching cases, writing legal documents, liaising with other professionals are representing clients in court.

Specializations
If you with commercial clients, you usually need to specialize in one legal area such as litigation, corporate, conveyancing, intellectual property or IT. Other emerging areas of law you can get involved in include Islamic law, international human rights law, and private equity and venture capital law.

Academic and other requirements
You need a law degree recognized in Malaysia, and to serve a nine-month pupilage with a Malaysian law firm, before you can become a fully fledged lawyer.

Personal skills and attributes
Do you have good communication, organizational and people skills? Are you ethical and professional in private and professional dealings?

^DRIVING LESSON^

SUN,31 January 2010- Listened KPP at NATION DRIVE driving institute at Segambut, Selangor for 5 hours. Something that out of my expectation was happened on this day. As I was queueing to pay for my lunch at canteen, a girl was accidentally knocked me and my plate of rice (with curry) was totally poured on my shirt! I felt so embarrassed as there were many peoples looked at me..(T_T)

TUES,9 February 2010- I had taken a leave from my aunt to sit for my KPP test early in the morning. My palms was wet (sweating) after pressed in a small Kancil (5 peoples included me). After reaching the place that I sit for KPP test, I had taken out my My Kad. The computer can't scan my thumbprint as my palms were still wet..I had tried to dry and wiped it but failed. Finally, I've to buy an e-driving card from the driving institute to sit for the test. Lecehnya.. It had wasted about half an hour to solve the problem of my "thumbprint".
Finally, I've passed my undang test by scored 47/50 and proceeded to Pre-L lesson for 6 hours! They just gave us their talk non-stop without any practical.

SUN,14 March 2010- Since I've not enough time to learn driving at KL and rushed back to Ipoh to get my SPM result, I've to find a new agent to continue learning driving here. The agent told me that I should listened 3 hours again for the Pre-L lesson. Lol. So tired to listen all those talks. This was my first time learned driving after the lesson. Cool! First time sit on the driver's seat and start the engines.. Felt a bit stressed when I drive it.

FRI,26 March 2010- First time drive out of center. Wow..unbelievable. But the engines goes off for more than 10++times! OMG~ I've did it badly..I can't controlled my left leg that steps on the clutch. I always released it too fast. Is okay, I will try to overcome it. I want to drive it smoothly~
I must do more practice.

THURS,30 March 2010- Having pre-test on this day. The engines goes off less than 10 times and I've failed badly on three-point turn. SIGH~

FRI,1 APRIL 2010- Learned driving in evening until night. It is a rainy day. This was the first time I turn on the light and drive on the dark road. Haha!

*Ohya~I will be going for my CAR TEST on 15 April 2010. So nervous.

I deserved it..

11 March 2010-A red letter day.
My SPM result was released on this day.
The moment that I got my own result, I was speechless.

The hope was not come to me. I didn't get a good and contented result this time. It was not reaching to my target. No chance for me to apply anythings and or even further my study at overseas. I was hypertension while sitting for the exam for almost one month. I realised that I had lost a lot of marks in many subjects that affected my grade once I rechecked my question papers after exam. I almost have twice nervous breakdown after exam and after getting my result. Hypertension was made me done wrong calculation or shaded the wrong answers. I know how I am going to get the correct answers for those questions but I had chosen and shaded it wrongly for almost 10++ questions in paper 1.
SO CARELESS!!!

I should not pushed myself until get into trouble. Was it late to blame myself now? The answers is YES and NO.
YES- Perhaps my SPM result would be in flying colour if I was not that careless.
NO - Still have time for me to overcome these kind of problems no matter in what conditions and do not let it happen again in STPM.

I had no mood after we had taken our results. I was pretended that I was not feeling sad to my result. I don't want to cry in front of my fellow friends. On this day, I had rejected my friends invitations to go gathering since we had been separated for almost three months. After went back home, I hidden myself in my room. I sobbed..sobbed in secret. I don't want my parents, sister and brother know that I am crying. I don't want let them worried about me.. I felt so upset. I wished to have a good result after worked hard and spent two years for SPM. Similarly, I also want to make my parents proud of me. I want to make them happy! They are always counting on me, expecting that I can get good result...but...I had failed to do so.

Well, in optimist thinking, SPM wasn't ended up my life. And, I should be thankful that I didn't obtained other grade besides AB's grade. On the contrary, this unsatisfactory result has encouraged me to be in relaxing mode and put more effort on my STPM soon.:)

Aha, I am still remembered what my aunt told me. She said, not all of them getting straight A's in any exam will get high pay in future. All these is rely on your own abilities, your smartness, your professional and your experiences in any field or scope. Her advice was totally regain my vigour to keep achieving my goal as I just got 5A's in my SPM. I still can survive although I have not getting many A's...SELAMATLAH saya..

~WORKING IN LAW FIRM~

28 December 2009 to 5 March 2010-no facebook, no msn, no blogging, no chatting, no games..Since I was nothing to do after SPM exam, my aunt (my mother's youngest sister) has given me a GREAT opportunities to work as an assistant/ clerk in her and her husband's (my uncle) legal firm at KL for 2 month. I was so lucky and happy to have a job without making any appointment and interview. Even, I have been given a big chance to learn something new there. I have a wrong thoughts of lawyer at once.

I thought they must good in debates and always going to court. Actually, lawyer was divided into into two groups, litigation and commercing. I was assisting my aunt in commercing part while my uncle is doing the ligitation part. I was the youngest worker in that firm. It also proved that I was lack of experiences in working too. There are three assistants, Diana, Wani and Joyce, the two pupilages, Atiqah and Chloe, and the five fully fledged lawyers (including my aunt and uncle). My tasks were copying documents, do adjudication, preparing loan documents, type formal letters, preparing proforma invoice, answering phone and etc. Now I know how to use the photostat machine and fax machine and courier documents too.

Indeed, my English is at the lower average. Preparing those formal letters were totally made me felt annoyed. I have a clear mind when working in a legal firm, so I know that I can't using the word " TRY" in doing my tasks. I am not able to bear the consequences and effects of any mistake in any documents. Because of this, I had asked other assistants of any single matter or anythings that I not sure when they were busy and rushing for their tasks until they were showed an unbearable face to me.

No choice and no point! I have to ask them although they were not willing and free to teach me when they were busy, it is too difficult to wait and asking them when they are available. I have to accomplish and rushing my tasks too! All of the workers have to rushing doing their tasks before the completion and extension period to avoid paying the penalty of the miscellaneous assignments of Sale and Purchase. If we did any wrong in any documents that delay the processing or sending the documents late to the government and bank, who is responsible to this penalty that cost more than ten thousand??

Another things that I learnt when I worked there is...never show my true feeling in front of my fellow workers. I have to pretend like don't mind and intellect in doing everything, smile reluctantly although I don't like the way they treat me. Pressure!!! I totally don't like that feeling.HATE HATE HATE...I can just be endure to get a good cooperation when working. It is not easy to control the tears falling when I am frustrated. Sometimes, the atmosphere made me felt wanna quit from the work but sometimes I felt that I want to stay at KL in long term. I believe that I can improve my English in short period of time if I keep staying in that environment. The KL's life can pushing me and forcing me to change for the better in the fastest way.Am I contradicting myself?

ENGLISH is too important for me to get a job there. I knew that my English is quite weak and I will improving my writing and conversation in English no matter in what situations. And, I will also agitate myself to learn more foreign language that can make me more easily to work overseas. Believe yourself, you can do it!

A special thanks and regards to my aunt and uncle whom had given me a great chance to learn new things and understand what does lawyer do. Even, they also given me another chance to get close with an OL's life and the real social life. This time, I had learnt somethings different from school. I had learnt a lot..
I hate the virtue of life.
